24hr PLOUGHATHON
29th Feb – 1st March
Supporting Herts Air Ambulance
We had a fantastic 24 hours, thanks to everyone who came along and supported and also those members who ploughed, especially the 24hrs ploughmen, who were James Williams (County Chairman), Jamie Burrows (Vice Chairman), James Watts, Will Lawton, Graeme Woodward and Paul Green.
We had howling winds and driving rain but the ploughing went on, a big thank you to those members who braved the Friday evening weather to come and support.
We had a variety of people come and visit on Saturday, ex-members, public and sponsors arrived. A bar-b-cue and refreshments kept us going throughout the day. Thanks to our main sponsors, John Wallace and family for allowing us to use their land and their kind donation, Buckles for the loan of their caravan and tractor, Frontier Agriculture
Limited, Yara UK, NFU Mutual, KB Tyres, Dalgety’s, BWServices, Mark Weatherheads, A.T. Olivers,
Savills of Bishops Stortford
and everyone else who sponsored us.
Anyone wanting to donate please send cheques in to
County Office, we are hoping to have raised approximately
£2,500 for Herts Air Ambulance.
WELL DONE EVERYONE

SARACENS RUGBY CLUB
On 24th February we had a bucket collection at Saracens match against Harlequins. We had a fantastic evening in that we collected over £500 which will help support our charity this year, Herts Air Ambulance.
We would like to thank everyone who came along and collected, members and parents, it was just a shame that Saracens lost the match. (we have booked another slot for next year).

ROYSTON & BUNTINGFORD SENIORS
Acoustic evening
Their first ever event, fantastic evening, lots of people came along to listen to many artists sing and play a variety of different instruments. The evening was organised nearly single handed by Suzi Bowden the clubs chairperson, she put on a great evening and also found time to sing and play too along with other members of their club. They have the talent!!!
Can’t wait until the next one in the autumn - well done to everyone and approximately £350 was raised for their club funds.
